Year 3/4 Girls' Tournament
Year 3/4 Champions
It has been a fantastic season for Lowe's Wong Junior School! All of our teams have performed amazingly both on and off the pitch.
Our girls' team finished runners-up in all three competitions they competed in this season. Unfortunately, we ran into a magnificent Barnby Road team who also became Nottinghamshire County Champions this year! The only losses we suffered were against Barnby Road and we are incredibly proud of their effort!
Our B-team had a great campaign in the league ending as champions! They only lost one game and were the league's top goalscorers!
Our A-team played some scintillating football this year but a bit like the girls, ran into a formidable opponent - this time it was Coddington!
In an epic battle for the league, it went down to the final two games. Lowe's Wong were victorious 0-1 away at Coddington but then were beaten in the return fixture 2-3 back at school. The league was shared between two great teams who showed lovely camaraderie at the final whistle!
The girls' team have been absolutely brilliant this year! They won the Autumn Tournament and then came runners-up in the County missing out on being County Champions on goal difference.

Last Friday, we hosted our Sports Day in what can only be described as glorious weather!
What a fantastic girls team we have had this year! We won the Autumn Tournament, came second in the County, came second in the league and then played our final tournament of the season at John Hunt Academy.
Thanks to Tom Partridge at Chuter Ede Balderton, we were able to take a group of Year 4 footballers to a football festival at Chuter Ede Balderton. The mini tournament was played between Lowe's Wong, Chuter Ede, Barnby Road and Farndon.
On Thursday 22nd June 2023, Lowe's Wong Junior School took their 32 best athletes to the Newark and Sherwood District Athletics at Magnus Academy.
